Oh man, I did that 2 days ago. It is a messy project, isn't it?
I don't put the stuff in the food processor until I take it out of the freezer. I find it easier to mash in small batches. The first time I made a mix, I added a lot of water and drained. But this time I was using a smaller pot, and a lot of rice, so the rice soaked up all the water and there was none to drain. I hope the theory about the nutrient's is right then.

Ah yes, makes a nice mush, huh? I was feeding my birds what looked like your pictures, and even with some bigger pieces of carrot and broccoli. But this week I started processing it until it's a mush, and almost none ends up on the cage floor now. I guess my tiny babies couldn't eat the big pieces.
