1 question....how'd you get the bean water so freakin clear?? Mine always looks a lot like mud after boiling!

well thats because the water is gone. This recipe calls for me to boil the water until its almost gone so as to not lose vital nutrients.

Ooooooooohhhhh LOL That makes sense!

I had a bad habit of burning my beans...so I would keep adding water until they got soft. So it's betting to let the water boil down? welp, learn something new every day!

actually this is the only recipe I have seen for beans that says to cook it out and not drain and rinse!!

Oh man, I did that 2 days ago. It is a messy project, isn't it?

I don't put the stuff in the food processor until I take it out of the freezer. I find it easier to mash in small batches.

The first time I made a mix, I added a lot of water and drained. But this time I was using a smaller pot, and a lot of rice, so the rice soaked up all the water and there was none to drain. I hope the theory about the nutrient's is right then.

Ah yes, makes a nice mush, huh? I was feeding my birds what looked like your pictures, and even with some bigger pieces of carrot and broccoli. But this week I started processing it until it's a mush, and almost none ends up on the cage floor now. I guess my tiny babies couldn't eat the big pieces.
