Bird Cage cover

Just received my new *Cozzzy Cover* and am dissapointed. I thought it would be alot heavier. Seems like light will go right through this fabric. I got the black one.

Which brand do most of you use?

Thanks

I just use a quilt to cover them at night time. Sorry you are disappointed.

I got the Cozzzy Cover when I got the cage about 3 years ago, its a real heavy black cloth, almost canvas weight. Its very well made....maybe you should call them with your complaint, maybe they have a heavier one.

I got mine through Blake's Custom Covers. They make them to your specifications. That way, I could get some made out of denim. It's cotton, so it's breathable, but also heavy enough to block light.

I'm so sorry you are disappointed. I hadn't heard any complaints about them until now.

This one? I dont cover my birds but have seen it in the store and it seems really heavy. In fact I thought it was TOO heavy and would be unhealthy retaining dander and bacteria in their breathing air.

Maybe you got a fake?

I use jacquard throws with clothespins as needed....only danger is the mornings I sleep in and the birds start chewing on the wood!

I went down to my local Kelly Moore paint store and picked up a couple properly sized drop cloths for Zoey and Sophie's cages. They don't create total darkness but there is no problem with them going to sleep. Benji and Cricket I use a couple little blankets I got at Walgreens.

Cindy:

Thats exactly the one I have, in black. It is really heavy, when I cover the cage I roll up the bottom flap about a foot and secure it with bulldog clips, so there is some air exchange.

Ahhh it's a flap. That's a great design. People can even roll the cage up to a window and they can wake up to natural daylight if they want.

OK,Samm... WHAT is a BULLDOG clip? LOL I'm a Bulldog person so it seems I"ll have to get some

OK, a bulldog clip is used to hold papers together. They're called binder clips and you get them at Staples or Office Depot.
