Get a Grip?

Does anyone have one of the get a grip climbing nets for their birds? I've thought often about getting one - but have always held back because of the price. But Cliff - at www.babybirdfarm.com - just added them to his site and is offering them at 25% off - plus if you're an AABG member - you get an extra 10% off - a deal so good - I'm not sure I can pass it up! But thought I'd see if anyone else had one and what they thought of it before I took the plunge! (if you click on Cliff's site - once there - click on the "what's new" link to see the get a grips- the small one is $95 at the starbird site (the manufacturers) and with the discounts I can get the small from Cliff for $60.71!)

I have a climbing net from a different manufacturer, but have thought about getting another net, a Get a Grip net, for them as well.

My birds LOVE the net! It seems to provide exercise and stimulation. I've seen a Get A Grip net in person and they are really well made. (Hence, I may have to get one of that kind, too, even though I like the one I have a great deal!)

I say go for it! I do not think you will regret it!

Love the Get a Grip. Actually I don't know who loves it more me or my Parrots. I was quite surprised when I got mine at how big & heavy it was but it was definitely the best thing I ever bought for my little monkeys.

Make sure you install ceiling anchor fastners that flair out into your wall. I have the Get a Grip medium & between how heavy it is by itself & the weight of all the toys I attached you need to make sure it won't come tumbling down.

Mine is suspended from the ceiling draping down. It sits away from the wall so they can climb through it but the pic distorts how far away it is.

Very cool! Thanks! Hubby's used to putting in hangers from the ceiling for my birds - so hopefully it won't be a problem. I'll just make sure to check it daily to ensure it won't fall down!

Sounds like one of those would go well in my bird room.

This is mine in my birdroom. The cockatiels LOVE it and my two gouldians and canary share it with them. It is the number 2 place to be in the birdroom. Wherever the food is is number 1! I don't know how long it would last with better chewers though.

bb100- I just noticed that you had a picture in your post. WOW! I LOVE that play area. That huge ball looks interesting. What is it?
