lovebird eggs

Hi there,I just got a pair of pf lovebirds from my sister-in-law.They are about a yr and1/2 old.She was told they were male and female.Since last sun. they have laid 9 eggs.i have seen them mating but will 2 females do this.I have tried to candel the eggs but i'm new at this and just cant tell if fertile,I'm thinking not.Any help would be great.Thanks.

9 eggs in one week, sounds like two hens. they only lay every other day or sometimes 2 days, so in a week there should only be 4 at the most, but usually only 3. maybe i missundestood. were they laying at the other home?

ok i read your post again. last sunday till today is ten days, still too many eggs. ten days should only bring 5 eggs at the most.

same sex birds ( or any other animal for that matter ) will have sex play, and some times will reverse roles.

you wont notice and veins by candleing for several more days.
