I wanted to write and let everyone know that my wife and I have been chosen by a Beautiful Greenwing Macaw.

As many know, we have been searching for months. We have *finally* been chosen. He/She is such a sweetheart. So gentle, so docile. He/She gives kisses on command and says "hello" and "i love you". The wife and I fell in love instantly as did our fine feathered friend. We have ordered a cage and upon arrival will be brining home our newest addition to the family. Hopefully this will all come next week. We are so anxious.

We will let you all know what our baby is. He/She is being sexed for naming purposes. We will also post pics when he/she arrives home.

Congrats on your new baby!!! Greenwings are one of my favs. It is a dream of mine to add a GW to my family some day down the road. Please keep us posted!!

Congratulations. Having to wait a week to bring the bird home would kill me. :eusa_wall Its like a kid having to wait on christmas. I know you will love the bird.

Thanks guys!!! Yes, The wait is killing us :eusa_wall He/She is ssssooooo sweet, non stop kisses, and preening the whole time we're there. Our new baby was born on 7/28(day after my b-day), she already says helwo, and I wub you!! I swear they theach the babies these things to make it hard on us!!

We should know if our little one is a boy or girl in a few days!!!
We will be posting pics as soon as the baby is home!

Congratulations.

You have done this properly and your rewards will be immeasurable. I can't wait to see the photos and share in the adventures. As much as I'm for rescuing birds, its still wonderful to hear of ones that come to their first homes after being lovingly raised by a breeder. Frankly, we are all in their debt.

I'm just so happy for you :)
