For me I would never want a smaller bird. I think they are noisier than the bigger birds. Don't get me wrong my guys can scream with the best of them and it is LOUD at my house at times. But that is just it - AT TIMES. They do the morning screams - SOMETIMES - and the evening screams - SOMETIMES -, that I can live with. There are even times I put on loud music and get them going to help get it out of them before bed. But every smaller bird I have been around is constant noise all the time. I could not live with that 24/7.

I would never seek out a bird that is approaching endangerment as I feel strongly that these birds belong in the competent hands of zoos who will breed them.Give me something common and abundant....I can't take the pressure of carrying on the genepool.
