Companion Bird Magazines

I enjoy reading as much information as I can on our companion birds. I was wondering what avian publication you enjoy reading the most. I have subscriptions to BirdTalk and Companion Parrot Quarterly. Each year I buy the newest issue of BirdsUSA.
Are there any avian publications that you find helpful or simply enjoyable to read?
Thank you in advance for sharing your opinions.

There aren't very many magazines out there for pet parrots, unfortunatly. There are many on wild birds, bird watching, etc...

At a bird show I recently attended, there was a magazine they were selling. I believe it was called "Birds" or "Parrots" or somehting like that. It was very interesting, and had some very good advice in it. I wish I would have bought it, but it was about $5 an issue, and that was a bit much for a magazine. I will keep my eyes open at the next show though!

I have avizandum to read. It is more aimed at keepers and breeders rather than companion birds. Recently there have been articles for cage birds.
Avizandum - for Birdkeepers

I have a subscription to Bird Talk. It's OK; the seem to recycle the same articles every few years, though.

I really like Companion Parrot Quarterly. I do wish that the owners of small parrots would submit more articles

I'm thinking of joining the African Lovebird Society (African Love Bird Society lovebirds agapornis) so that I can get their quarterly publication. I've heard that it's quite interesting.

I have some back issues of other bird mags that I've picked up from auctions on eBay: Bird Times and Pet & Aviary Bird. The latter no longer seems to be in exisitence in the US, which is sad as it was a really interesting publication :(

I get Bird Talk from the USA and sometimes Good Bird if someone is selling it here.

Australian mags I get are Aviary Life, Parrot Society mag that comes with membership and Australian Birdkeeper. Sometimes I buy a UK mag called Parrots if it is featuring a species I am interested in. Borders carries a pretty good selection.

i can read them at work, but i did purchase BirdsUSA. In the back they have an avian vet directory, broken down into state, then area. Google gave me 2 vets that didnt even have a bird section on their webpage, this directory gave me 10 Avian vets close to me.

Theres 3 directories in the back, avian vets, avian specialists, and i think the last was avian breeders

I think some of the best info can really be found on the net or though books, mags. are cool but, I think a lot of it is not towards you but as a general bird ppl so they may not be able to help you so much towards your problems but, how ever there a nice thing to have but, I find out way more info here on bird board.
