I came across a 13 yoa cockatoo $500.00. Was kinda wanting a younger one but if the facts I got on this bird are true seems to be a awesome bird. what do you all think? Just hope Sid will approve

I think you should meet the bird. Most "facts" given by sellers are painting way too rosy of a picture. I've only ever dealt with one seller of an older bird who was 100% honest, and of course they were only trying to sell him because after Katrina, they both had to take new jobs that gave them no time for him. . .they didn't actually WANT to sell him, and you could tell. It was just in his best interest.

And what kind of Too? $500 for an older Too could either be a real deal, or just a bit too high (unless there's a cage involved!) depending on the species.

He's been DNA sexed male? Small warning, if you have other males of any species (humans, too!) in your house, some male U2s have to be the only male in the house. but, at 13 years old, the owner will know this, and if you have a man who can come with you, it will be REALLY obvious. It isn't really something that they just show later on. . .

And, the stress is on some U2s having this problem.

Honestly, I don't think $500 is too much for a U2. We paid about that much when we took an 8-year-old in 7 years ago after his owner died from cancer. . . and he was one that hated males!!
