What does the cage your fids live in look like?

I just realized that I have an entire room full of bird cages (only 3 cages/4 birds, but the cages huge). I thought that I'd ask what your fids cages look like with your fids inside them? Here are what our fids look like in their cages.
  • The first cage is of a 36Wx72Lx72H cage with double dividers to make two 36Lx36Wx72H cages.
  • The second and third pics are each of the 36Lx36Wx72H halves and their current occupants. Skoobie Doo (TAG) and Autumn (Sun). Skoobie Doo doesn't have much in his cage as he's quite frieghtened of change. So we have to "work-in" things slowly for him to accept them. He spends most of his time in the very spot you see him in the picture. Autumn.. of course she doesn't have that problem...
  • The fourth pic is of a 20x40x36 cage that we just got Chucky (GCC) about 5 days ago. He is extremely happy to be in his new much larger cage compared to his old one.
  • The final pic is of Franky and her cage. It's 24x32x72. We actually ordered another cage for her off of Dr Foster's Smith. This current seemed to just be too small. Especially for a cockatoo that loves to "clown around". The ordered cage seemed to be just about the same price from any vendor (even eBay) so we figured Dr Foster's would work. Her new cage will be 36x48x72 when it arrives next week, I'll be sure to post pics!.

For now here is our cage setup in our bird room:

This is the new cage we got for Franky that should be here on Wednesday or Thursday... he'll be so happy!

It was about 499 including s/h from Dr Foster's Smith. So I didn't do too bad. Plus I found an e-coupon that gave me a 15% discount on any purchase over 299 so I saved a bit more even.

Anyhow... here it is... cage inner dimentions without seedguard (livable area) is 48x36x63 and dimentions with seed guard and stand is 54-1/2" x 44-1/4" x 78". I got him the silver vein (grey) one and not the green one (yuk - looks like vomit). The cage is HUGE for a single bird I think.... he's gonna love it... I can give him more toys now too... (if he doesn't destroy them all in a matter of minutes like usual). I borrowed these pics from Dr Fosters Smith website and also PreVue's website (they're the manufacturer of the cage).

I wish our Skoobie Doo would let us put more in there. When we do, he goes and spends "days" at the bottom of the cage (including sleeping there and even afraid to come up to his food dishes to eat).

Before we "rescued" him, he was in a tiny 20x20x28 cage that had no toys, so he's actually a bit affraid of the wide open cage he's now in. He's just started to explore his larger cage. I think in time (could be years) he'll get more used to more stuff.

Talking

As promised... I'm posting before and after pics of Franky's new cage. We've had it for a few days now. We've got to get her some more perches (since she has the room now) and also a few more toys maybe. The toy you see in the back of her new cage we got from DR Foster's Smith on clearance for 17.99. It's well worth it as retail it would easily be one of those 50.00+ toys. It's 18wx28hx4thick. This will last a while. It's assembled with chains too, so that your Too will not be able to chew it apart "before it's time".

Here is her original "old" cage 24x36x72:

And here she is in her new cage 36x48x84:
(effectively double the cubic space of the first)

And here's some video of her in her new cage:

MySpaceTV Videos: See Franky in his new cage by PowerBBS

Enjoy! And I'd love to see everyone elses cages!

Here's Cheyenne on her cage: (this is when we first got her. Her feathers look a lot better now!)

I don't have one of Oscar in his cage... but I have one of Cheyenne in Oscar's cage!

Absolutely great CAGE, PowerBBS, and video. And gBird, do you know when Pita's in there -- with so FEW toys you might not see Pita for days... You definitely need to get more toys!! I will put mine up when I take some pictures, but just had to say Happy Easter and your birds are so cute.

I have my GW, Chief, in the same cage you bought for Franky. I love it! We always have room for toys and perches and all kinds of fun stuff. I don't have any pictures of it right now, but Chief is very happy. He has plenty of room to move around and not tear up his tail feathers.
