Unhappy 2 Scarlet Macaws Missing from the Zoo!!

Kansas.com | 04/28/2007 | 2 scarlet macaws missing from zoo

I can't believe someone would break into the zoo and steal these birds! Who would do that? Ugh. I hope the birds are safe. They're used to living in a HUGE jungle exibit that people can walk through with lots of other birds and wildlife. They'll surely go nuts if caged full-time. Poor birdies.

Yea, definatly an inside job. Didn't think of that... I doubt they could sell them though. Most zoo birds (like breeding pairs) don't make very good pets from what I've heard. So so sad...

At metrozoo and a few other rehab centers here in Florida have the birds perched in the open on your way in. I find it would be really easy to steal one if they weren't confined in some way.
