Thumbs up Teflon toxicity to birds addressed on the Food Network

I'm happy to say that The Food Network had a program on last night, one of their regulars of a series(Good Eats) and the host, Alton Brown addressed the serious topic of Teflon and bird deaths. Now there were a few holes in his presentation, such as the use of it is ok at low temps. BUT.....he did repeat a number of times how it will kill birds when used. I watch that network often, the website is my home page, LOL and I will post the link where any of you can go and comment your thanks for this being addressed on a food show. I did and hope many of you do also.

Thanks(from HRC)
Linda & HRC~

Yay Alton Brown!

I learn a lot from Good Eats such as the difference between using brown and white sugar when making cookies.

I think that Alton Brown is a smart cookie (and a cutie) and I'm glad he mentioned the dangers of teflon to birds!

I agree Jade! Good Eats is my fav. show on the network, mostly because of the "whys" that he addresses in cooking, not so much the recipes. I'm a retired chef and I don't need the information. But the kind he gives I love! On last nights show he debunked a lot of myths, which is how the Teflon thing came up. Seems a lot of people think it's a myth about the toxicity.
