when born,the bird has a few coloured patches,that grow as they age...........sometimes the bird turns white or yellow.

Huh. I never knew that. I had only heard of regular pied meaning spotted.

I saw pictures of an aquired pied green cheek... she was a normal green but as she started to molt she had yellow feathers that turned white. I don't really know if it's a true mutation and really, in short there's so little info about it that it's hard to even find this info again....
