So. Cal. Bird Farms & stores

Hi Everyone! Does anyone know of good bird farm or store in the Orange Co. area besides Magnolia Bird Farm? I've been shopping there for over 20 yrs and have gone to their other location in Riverside (much bigger). But are there other places that you've been too that you would recommend? There use to be a place in Long Beach off South St. and Garfield ( I think) years ago (the 80's). It was in an industrial area by junk cars at the end of a dirt road.

Also, I noticed that only Pomona Fairgrounds has the Bird Mart and not Orange Co. anymore? Is there a bird club in Orange Co. still?

Thanks
Sandra

Omar's in Lake Forest . . how funny I was up in Ventura County and am down in SD now and can't think what else is still up in OC except Magnolia and Omar's. We have plenty of members from the area, I am sure more suggestions will be along soon!

Bird Farms

I love Omar's Exotic Birds on Imperial Highway in Yorba Linda. All the birds are out and you get to play alllll day.

Thumbs up Orange County Birds.....

Hey Sandra,

Like others have said already, Omar's in Lake Forest is my top recommended choice. Good people and good information, plus a host of birds to play with! Also would be Omar's in Yorba Linda and Exotic Bird's by Fran in Cypress.

Here's the web links:

Omar's Omarsexoticbirds.com: Avian, parrots, birds, parrot boarding, parrot cages, parrot food, parrot toys, parrot medications, parrot advocates, psitticine, macaws, amazon parrots, meyers, senegal, cockatoos

Exotic Birds by Fran 9215 Valley View, Cypress, CA 900630

I too would be interested in finding out of a local parrot owners group here in Orange County. Don't know of one yet, let me know!

Regards,
Glen

Omars- definitely Omars! If not there, and you want to travel further south (Say S.D. Area) Go to "A Bird Haven" - Escondido, CA. Even "Bird Crazy" - Kearny Mesa... I know at that store they have very exotic birds, they have a pair of Hyacinths and a pair of Toucans, as well as many of the smaller species and then tons of parrots. >.<
