Anyone read CPQ?

I just subscribed to Companion Parrot Quarterly and was reading my first issue today. Wow! I am so glad I subscribed. I had never had a chance to read one before and figured it was a bare-bones version of Bird Talk. Was I ever wrong! Great articles (and I'm only halfway through it). Some of the scarlet macaw stories made me want to cry. It's so great that there is so much to actually read and so much good advice in there. I've never had a magazine before that I didn't whip through in half an hour and I've been working on this one since 4 pm! Doesn't help much with MBS, though

LOVE IT LOVE LOVE LOVE IT :) I don't know what I like more: Sally's advice, articles by various behaviorist and aviculturists or the anecdotal stories from readers.

My only dislike is the lack of articles about some of the smaller parrots that are popular, like lovebirds and parrotlets. CPQ does have quite a few articles about cockatiels and budgies, though.

I've ordered close to a dozen back issues in the last few months. I'm getting a subscription, too.

Companion Parrot Quarterly is a detailed and story-filled publication that differs from the glossy magazines we usually receive. What it may lack in glitz. it makes up for in substance. I've been waiting for their next issue, #71, to be published and mailed out. There have been several technical problems, as stated on their web site, that have delayed it. I received the issue you just received last August and have been looking forward to the next issue since.
