Oh, I'm kind of jealous. Every time I hang out with a Lilac-Crowned or Mexican Redhead Zon, I have to stop myself from taking them home.

And I'm not sure if I have succeeded yet. The pet store my fiance works at while he's finishing up his teaching certification has 3 MRHs left out of 8, and my favorite is still there :)

Wow! Congratulations, what a find!
I went to our favorite pet store last week and they had two GCCs available AND my next bird - a white belly caique! It was so new it didn't even have feathers yet, omg I want that bird and my daughter wanted the male GCC for our female Ziggy. I'll have to stay away from the store for awhile or I will cave.

ahh !!! I love those White bellies!!! I'd die to have any of the Caiques own me lol... GCC's haven't been very popular here... I've only seen a couple hanging around in stores. It's nice though, this Hospital has a Greenwing up for adoption, the Nanday that I get to take home >.< A Dusky Conure, and I'm not sure if he's up for adoption... and then another type of amazon, I think a red lored? I didn't get a chance to look at him too closely, I remember red white and blue... and a smaller build, and last, a black masked lovebird- The people that had referred this place to me had adopted a Senegal from them! They ended up having to bring it back, I guess they weren't comfortable? Who knows...

He looks exactly like one I had named Ebineezer (Ebby) I adopted him because a 2 yr old boy had scared him half to death. He was afraid of children.........couldn't even watch tv shows that had children in them. Eventually had to find him a new home because he adopted my male tiel and started attacking me when I was even in the same room with him.
Found out that the guy that took him, gave him to a pet shop.......have no idea what they did with him after they closed down.
