I wouldn't. Budgies are hyper and annoying to lots of cockatiels and they can be fatally agressive toward cockatiels also.

This two little guys are extremely lay back. They will only move if I put my hand in their cage literaly! The only thing they do once they are in my tiels cage is get on a perch and sleep. I think Yolt has taken a liking to Maxy as he is hanging around her and she doesn't seem to mind as opposed to Nimbus who wants him to stay away from him (Nimbus doesn't like anybody thought...lol).

I've had a cockatiel and a parakeet that shared a cage before and they did great. It was a very large cage so that they could have their own space, but they really adored each other and would preen each other and sleep together. I think it just depends on the individual birds and their relationship with each other.
By the way-I really love your little signature image LOL I'm a middle school teacher and am really counting the days! (We have four and a half school days left!) Julie Riley |

Sowilu is a student... plans on taking her senior pic with her birds!
Picture question As for keeping budgies and tiels together... well the budgies are still new to the area, so they may not be themselves just yet... it may work out, however I don't really suggest housing them together unless you can do so in a really large space where the tiels could easily get away from budgies... however budgies are known to continually pester other birds when it suits them.

Yes I am a student :).
Monica I just want to keep them in the tiels cage because its bigger than the one they are in and its enough space for all of them. They don't stay in their cage all day. This will be done until I get out of school and my dad and I will be making an aviary for the birds. We are still looking for materials to use. He found a frame of a hut thing in Sam's Club that would work but its $280something and he saids to wait until we can find a cheaper one and we will start it. This is Yol's and Coa's cage before I cleaned it: ![]() This the tiels cage: ![]()

You could use wood as a frame.... preferrablly putting the wire on the INSIDE rather than the OUTSIDE of the frame... if not that, you could use PVC, however PVC can get brittle and "rot" when under the sun... There's also the idea of not using a frame at all, however I wouldn't know how one would go about keeping it altogether...
