Is it wise to put a mirror in my birds cage. I just got her less than a week ago and he/she is 4 months old.

i dont believe in mirrors my self. a hundred years ago, my mother had a budgie with a mirror and i think it confused him more than anything.

It's better to get the bird a REAL friend rather than a fake one who can't interact with him... it could potentially cause a bird to loose it's flock instincts, or bond closer to the mirror rather than a human or another bird.... No, I don't believe in them.

I don't have mirrors in the bird room but it is funny to see their reaction if I show them their reflection in the bedroom mirror. They seem to think very highly of themselves..............with good reason!!
