Got A Question...

I have known several breeders and none have ever used spectrum lighting for any of their birds, including pets. Just how many of you use this lighting and how necessary is it? I'm also wondering if certain vitamins could help if one is not able to give their birds spectrum lighting. Thanks!

hens need vitamin d3, i believe, to asimilate (is that a word?) calcium in order to make good egg shells, and to prevent egg binding. full spec. is a good sorce, but its availible in bird vitamins. i use full spec. to benifit my birds, my plants, and me.

we use lighting both for our breeders and our pets every day cause not enough light comes in during the day.
