Talking New Double Macaw Cage

Hi EveryOne,

Most of you don't know me as I tend to lurk more than post - mostly due to time constraints - But I think this is a great board and I appreciate all I have learned here and the generosity the members show in trying to ensure the well being of all birds. For those of you that don't know, for the past 2 years I have been blessed with a rehomed Blue & Gold Macaw named Ro (formerly Romeo until I had her DNA'd). She is between 10 & 15 yo.

Now to the point of this post, This is to say a great big THANK YOU to Joel.

RO is now the proud owner of an awesome new Double Macaw Cage. I had wanted to get her a larger cage for quite some time but didn't think I could manage it right now. Then I saw Joel's post a couple of weeks ago to someone else saying how great the Double Macaw Cages were and if anyone on BB in Florida was interested he could get them at a very good price. Well, not only did he do that but he was able to have it delivered and setup too!! He really made it very reasonable in price and effort on my part. Thanks again Joel for all of your assistance - Ro is sooooo happy with her new accommadtions and you know that makes me happy.

Lori & Ro (lovin her new cage!)

Lori:

Won't you be a doll and post a photo of the cage and Romeo? I'm once again shopping for cages (sigh).

Hi Nancy,

I would love to post a photo of Ro and her new birdie mansion for you right now, unfortunately I'm one of the very few people left that does not have a digital camera or for that matter any camera - I will do my best to see if I can get some photo's this weekend and post them for you next week. BTW I loved the photo of your B&G gang in the Macaw Forum.

Thanks.

By the way, you don't need a digital camera to post a photo. You can have them developed on CD and then load them into your computer. Easy as pie.

My pleasure to have met you in person Lori, you are one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of assisting, thank you for the kind words :icon_smil .............I also, like yourself, do not have a digital camera but can tell Nancy that it is the same Double MaCaw cage (I believe) that her friend sells on his website: Model #36432........I will be glad to help any other S. Fla. residents who would like to purchase that same model or any other model that I can get thru the distributor with the help of a friend of mine. Out of towners (above West Palm Beach) can pick up personally if they will be anywhere near my area or have someone else pick up for them. Anyone can pm me for additional details and arrangements if interested...........Personal delivery charges and assembly charges are extra but very reasonable..........Glad to be of assistance to fellow B.B. members...... :icon_smil......

I'm including a pic of both the Double MaCaw cage on the left (which has a center pull out grate/divider - when easily removed will then make that one really roomy cage) and a pic of a new model cage, just out, (corner type) than can also be used for a MaCaw etc......Both cages come in numerous color choices & further discounts for purchasing more than one, can mix & match for savings.......

Hi Laurie

Yes, I did have the pleasure of meeting Joel in person - and he is everything you would imagine him to be :icon_smil .

Nancy,

I was unable to get pictures this weekend but I will get some of Ro in her new birdie mansion - the picture Joel posted gives you a good idea of what it looks like but I'll get some with Ro in and on her cage so you can get an idea of the cage size relative to the bird - plus it will give me an excuse to show off Ro :)

Double cage

How do I get one of the corner cages ?? What is the web site ? I'm 100 miles north of Palm Beach but can drive down.

There is a Bird Fair in Orlando the weekend of the 6th. Maybe you will be there ??

Gary&Cloe........Send me a pm and I'll discuss the details with ya. The website is www.birdsupply.com but with the help of a friend, I can do better than those prices for ya......The Double MaCaw cage IMO is a much better deal than the corner cage but suit yourself. The corner cage trays have to be removed for cleaning from the side so you would have to have room on that side to pull them out, no furniture too close. Also remember that the skirt on the corner cage will bring the cage itself out about 6 inches from the walls, which is actually good as it will keep the walls cleaner...... The MaCaw cage trays pull out from the front of course......I suggest a dark color cage like Charcoal Black or Green in which ya can see the birds better than in a lighter colored cage......

I love that corner cage too. Rico's cage currently sits in a corner, but not a corner cage. Too bad I didn't see this earlier, I just bought him a humungus cage.
