Pita loves his Kale <video>

I make a vegie mash for Pita, using Kale, broccoli, carrots, corn, apples...etc etc. I usually mix it in with his eggs, birdy bread, or whatever he's eating. It's the only way I can make sure he eats his vegies.

Anyway....What I do with kale and Pita loves it, is I stick in his green ball. He loves just tearing it apart, and I hope digests some of it...LOL

Here's a video I took of him yesterday destroying the evil kale that invaded his toy....lol

Too cute. That's the same thing Skittles does with his chard... Shreds it up and I can only hope that he happens to actually eat some of it!

That is a great idea! Darwin gets lots of green, but he only eats them sometimes. That green ball is so versatile!

Good idea!

Actually, that's a really good idea - do you cook it, or is the mash fresh and then refrigerated? the boys will eat veggies, but only if they see me eat some of it first. I have to hold fruit up for them while they eat it.

Good Lord, I really AM their minion, aren't I? Mind if I borrow your tactics and see if Bob won't eat a similar mash if I hide it in his foraging toy?

The mash is all fresh. I portion it out in baggies, and freeze all but one which I always keep in the fridge.

The Kale I put in the ball is fresh. I do it with broccoli, and those little baby carrots, as well.
