Maybe you should screen people really well, but offer her and her cage for no money. She does deserve a perfect home, but you shouldn't be trying to get money for her. You should thank the person who agrees to make her a good forever home. I'm not too far from you, but already have 8 cockatiels. Let me know if you have no luck what so ever. It's good that you realize how much she needs, but she might be perfectly happy with her situation. I took a tiel from a lady who thought she wasn't spending enough time with her. The bird seemed to miss the lady for months after. She is quite happy now, but for a while I thought she might rather have stayed with the first lady.

I agree. I adopt a lot of birds, but don't push too hard if folks want a lot of money. Have you thought about adopting another tiel to keep her company instead of giving her up? Sadly, there are often tiels looking for new homes because folks don't know what they are getting into. And two is not much more trouble than one!

My great grandmother had a tiel when I was growing up named Elway he came from a cousin who couldn't take em anymore and every time I looked up at his cage and he stared down at me, all I could do was stare back and he had these huge nose holes in his beak and I've noticed that when I've gone to petstores that have had em too. BTW You're not slow. I don't know what it is but if someone brings a tiel out I will run like a pansy, I can't deal with them XD. But everyone else seems to love em so that's good with me.

That is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. You were scarred for life as a child. This is going to take lots of therapy! Come over and face all 16 nares at my house. You must. It's the only way you will ever be well again. You don't mind the big Too noses. Just the cockatiels! Interesting. Thanks for explaining!
