Yikes! In all the years I lived with my ex-husband's U2, Sebastian, he never made noises like that! What set him off? Sebastian would do the thing where he'd flare up his crest and spread his wings and bob his head vigorously while making loud quacking sounds. It was loud, but it was so funny we'd laugh and laugh every time he did it. Molly's still a baby and she just started the quacking thing. Other than that and her baby call, she doesn't make any noise yet.

Maybe it's a male trait. He was not angry or anything. He does that almost every day. There are many variations to it. He can also be very quiet. He has many many sounds. Today he did one round, and I recorded it with my camera. Then he heard me replaying it, so he would start up again. Did you hear Lukey in the background? She was LOUD today too. It doesn't bother me at all. I always tell him he's a good boy after he does it. My granddaughter was holding her ears as she ran through the room he was in, but we all love him with all his sounds. I'm so blessed.

Thanks for looking CforC! I wouldn't call his wings gorgeous yet, but he's working on it.

I want one! I love animal noises better than man made noises if you know what I mean.

What an awesome video! I wish I had a video camera so I could record my Elsie...now, she is LOUD and could out scream ( she makes this noise like a machine gun) your guy anyday! :)
aren't they just wonderful? I wouldn't trade them for anything.

kathyellen, I'm sure Elise could out scream Whiteboy, but you have to realize that real life is about 5 to 10 times louder than the video can capture and reproduce. They are wonderful! I would love to hear the machine gun. When we first got Whiteboy, we tried to describe his call to others. I said that it was like a weather alarm, and about as loud as honking your car horn in the house. Your flock is unbelievable! I'd love to be there at sunset. I bet that is something to hear! I see you have four Sennies. I only have one. They are all such a joy.

Nuuuuuuu thanks. They're adorable and sweet but with that much noise I'd get thrown out of my house.
