Terrible News...

MBS has caught up with me---again! I am going to be the new 'mommy' of a 8 year old, Vos/SI female ekkie. She is such a cutie! She loves woman specifically, more than men though she doens't mind them. She loves to cuddle under your shirt and takes baths in her bowl every time the vacume is on! She sounds like little Miss Perfect for us!

On another happy note, we got Echo's blood tests in. She was a little anemic and her white blood cells are over double what they should e. WBC count should be arounf 11,000, she was at 29,000. The preliminary fecal test came in saying there was no sign of infection yet, so they could just be way up becuase of thefood change.

That IS terrible news! You poor thing having to put up with one of those boring ugly birds! I'll help you out of your situation. Just bring her to me, and your troubles will be over!
Really though, I hope everything is OK with Echo.

Congratulations on the new Ekkie. I've been secretly wanting one for a while and am soooo jealous!

I sure hope Echo is okay. I never thought a food change could affect their immune system!

LOL! That's ok, I just want a house of hormonal hens But yea, I can't wait! I did forget to mention one thing: she's free! This will be the second bird I've gotten of of Craigslist and according to my dad, it's my last!

A food change can cause a lot of stress, especially when it's really sudden. That and the fact she wasn't eating enough made her vulnerable to infection. But, she's doing very well!

Lucky, I've been dying for an eclectus but the apartment I'm moving into is a "One Bird per Person" outfit...and I don't dare break it when my deposit is $1,600 X_X

Congratulations. You've been wanting an Ekkie for a while now. I wish you luck with her and your current flock.
