Harrisons and ants

Has anyone noticed that the Harrisons food seems to attract ants much more than Zupreem (or any other pellets, for that matter). I suppose it may point to how good quality the Harrisons is, but it's getting out of hand.

The power treats seem to REALLY attract them, but the regular pellets are pretty popular with the little guys too.

Awwww, poor cute lil itsy-bitsy ants. I think you should locate their mound/home and then put a lil dish of their favorite type of pellet/treats close by so they don't have to walk so far to get their meals.

I feed Harrisons to my CAG and Zupreem to my B&G. I also live in Florida famous for the abundance of ants. I haven't noticed any problem with ants after the pelleted food. I do have a problem with the awful gnats that go after the fresh fruit!

I feed Harrisons to all of my flock and have not had a problem with ants either. I am also in stifling hot Florida ;)..if I do ever end up with an ant problem, I am going to try the lemon idea!!

Now, an idea like that that works for fruit flys would be awesome!!!

You could also try keeping the Harrison's in the fridge, just make sure it's sealed in the bag.

hmmm....well, maybe it's not the Harrisons after all? I'll have to see if there's anything else that could be attracting them
