I posted these on the macaw board but I'm just a proud parront so I have to show him off. So far "baby bird" doesn't have a name (which is sad since we've had since he was an egg to think about it ) but he's just a dream come true! We love him lots. We have a couple of free-roaming finches in the house that are very curious about the big new kid. Whenever "baby bird" is on the ground playing with us, the finches hop out and do a wide circle around him, and if the macaw is getting scritches and is especially distracted, my java finch will even dare to come peck at the tip of a green tail feather lol. They're never left alone together and the finches are flighted, the macaw is not, so they are kept safe.

The macaw loves his stainless steel pipe bell and his boing and he says a froggy "hello", "hi there" and "hi baby" so far. He babbles when he's settling down to sleep and its so cute :). He's just the apple of my eye

You should be proud. He is just beautiful!! The second picture is nice where you see the red under his wing. I like the 3rd picture too, where he is turning around looking at you. Kind of looks like he's smiling.

Oh I just LOVE the big green apple of your eye. He looks so tough showing the red under his wings. I think he's going to be a character.

Thanks for the compliments, I really am proud of him :) We didn't hatch and hand rear him, we just put the deposit down on him while he was still a freshly laid egg.
