I'll see if I can find some pictures of Emme, the albino hedgie I had a few years back.

I am SO silly; it's quite obvious that your photo shows a BUDGIE, not a 'tiel I love albino budgies -- every time I see one I want one!

Here's a link to photos of an albino Fischer's lovebird, one of my most favorite lovebird mutations of all: Albino and Lutino Fischers Lovebirds

And a link to an albino masked lovebird as well: http://www.wildlifecontrolservice.co...inoMask107.jpg

As you can see, it's very difficult to tell the difference b/t the albino masked and the albino Fischer's. They aren't too common in the pet trade but oh, I do want one some day!

I wish I had my camera when I saw a flock of black birds with one albino in the flock. I had to take a double look to make sure it wasn't something else in the flock with them.

I have a question on the albino tiel's I have one that is yellow and white but the eyes are pink. I thought anything albino had pink in the eyes because of the lack of pigment. This one has dark orange check patches but the eyes are sure pink.

The bird that you are describing sounds like a lutino cockatiel. A lutino would have the pink eyes but not the all white feathers (no yellow or orange feathering or dark eyes) that an albino would have. Try searching Google images for lutino cockatiel to see if that's what you have :) Here are some examples:

Lutino cockatiel: http://www.leannescockatiels.com/Lutino%20Cock.jpg

Albino cockatiel (also called white-faced lutino): http://www.leannescockatiels.com/Albino%20Hen.jpg

Lutino (on your left) & albino (on your right) next to each other: http://www.leannescockatiels.com/lut...0cockatiel.jpg

Many people confuse the color white with term albino (Albino) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. A white ferret with black or brown eyes is NOT albino; it is a dark-eyed white, for example. A dog that is all white but has black paw pads and blue or dark eyes is also not an albino.

I found this interesting; I was doing a search on lutino lineolated parakeets and came up w/ photos of lutino blue & gold macaws. Go to the bottom of the page in the link below to see:

Dezilu -- I ALMOST brought home a hammie that looked just like your Misty! I had commented on an albino budgie at a local pet store (it's a really nice one with a friendly, caring staff). One of the gals working that day asked if I liked albino critters in general and when I said yes, she handed me a wee ball of fluff, not much bigger than a cotton ball. Dwarf hammies are SO precious!
