I'd say something like a flight cage ($50-$300, depending on used, single, or double) and up would be good...

Don't forget room for toys and perches!
The cage I got for my conure is 31W x 22D x 35H inches ... plenty of room, right? Nope, once you start putting toys (lots n' lots of toys!) and everything else in, it's no longer as roomy as you first thought. I try to spoil my bird rotten, so I'd love to get something even bigger but there wouldn't be room for it in my condo.
I agree with the other posters' comments -- go as big as you can afford (and will fit into your home). It's much more price efficient to pay just a little more for a bigger cage than to realize later that you need to upgrade. |
