Funny new behavior

My little hahn's macaw (still nameless, to my shame. We call him Bird.) is such a little clown. His flights are clipped but this bird can HOP! I've got him trained to go potty on command while I hold him over a plastic place mat on the floor in front of his cage. I do this every time I pick him up off the cage unless I know he's gone recently. He tells himself "good boy" when he goes on my command and then LEAPS from my hand to my shoulder! I can't believe how far he can jump! It's like he can't just take the time to climb up my arm, he has to be there NOW! hahah, its so funny :) I should try to get it on tape.
