I have a blue & gold a military macaw. I have definitely been bitten by the "bird-bug"!

I would believe what your vet said, and feed your bird the meds. None of us here (or at least i don't think so) are qualified veteranarians, so we can't really tell you what's wrong with your bird, if anything.

I think I ran into a video of yours on youtube. Anyways, there was a B&G named "Dreamer." Awesome bird btw. I cannot believe how insanely adorable Dreamer and his friend are!1

I too am partial to Macaws... They are facinateing Though I would never turn any kind of bird, ever.

I currently own 9. I think this is my limit on big birds LOL
They are def worth all the work, For sure!!!
I absolutley adore their personalities. They surprise me everyday.
Cracks me up when they all get to chattering, they are carrying on a conversation and laughing to boot! You'll be very happy with your Baby!

I also have an umbrella cockatoo, housed in another part of the house. She joins in on the conversation. You can imagine how loud that is LOL VERY comical!!!
