Mind made up for Conures

Hi .. Everyone ... I'm letting you all know I made up my mind that I'm going for Sun Conure .. also I found a bird cage with seed guard (32"x 23"x 67") with good price I'm going to buy soon but that going have to wait as I'm going to be leaving to go out of town sometimes late August or after Labor's day to visit my niece in Wisconsin for a couple of weeks. Um.. I have a deaf friend who raised healthy birds (she sale birds and bird cage and supplies) going try to find a Sun Conure for me.. she told me at this time of the year in the summer the sun conure will be hard to find but there may be some coming up in hatch sometimes in October .. I told her I would like to have a weened hand tame bird since I have no knowledge how to handfeed the newborn nor have any experience with them before as I was afraid to do any harm by overfeed it .. she laughed and told me not to worry it will be weened and hand tame as it will eat on it own.. I told her that good all I want . she is very firm that she dont sale unweened babies as she always wait til they are old enough to leave the nest ( the term I think ). So I thought it would be a good time since I'm leaving to be out of town and by the time I get back to buy the cage and set it up with a few toys ( buying alittle at a time) before the new bird be ready sometimes around December . I'm looking forward to get my new fid soon ..

I know.. I know .. but I had a hard time finding sun conures for adoption or rehoming .. everytime I goes in craigslist... I asked how much are they asking for but somebody else beat me to it .. so I might well buy one to start with .. I don't care if it a boy or girl as long it healthy .. and I found a cage (32"x23"x67") that fit for the right price .. 175.00 have a nice day ... :)

Good luck on finding your perfect baby. There should be some out there since mine are on eggs, someone by you should have some on eggs or have babies.
Have you looked on birdbreeders.com they have 31 people selling babies from all over the US.

Thank Jack ...I have a friend looking for one for me ...she said sometimes it hard to come by at this time of the year but heard it will be sometimes October to hatched and won't be ready about a month or two since I don't have any experience hand fed the newborn.. kinda scarey.. so I'd rather to wait til it weened with alot of feathers and out of the nest ... as I thought it will be easier that way. :D
