Dr Brian Speer, Oakley CA area code 925

He wrote the entire veternary section of the big macaw book people are talking about. He's supposedly pretty well known, at least in CA. He's also just a very cool person, very good with birds in person (amazing in that dept). I think he already does some networking with other vets via the internet. Anyway, just an all around good guy - it couldnt hurt to invite him, although I dont know how much spare time he has with all the other things he does in the avian field in addition to running a full time practice. Everyone who's serious about their birds (inc every local breeder I've met) from the entire San Fran Bay Area drives the 1+ hr to get to Oakley, when there's anything wrong with their birds.

I think it would be awesome to get Margaret Wissman to consult, but I think she is likely very busy. (www.exoticpetvet.net and she writes for Bird Talk)

He also co-authored the popular "Birds for Dummies". He would be great to get on here as a consultant if possible!
