TV Program - The Real Macaw
PBS has a show called "The Real Macaw" on TV coming up. For Rogers in the Toronto area, it is on cable 61, Wednesday January 26, 12:30 am. This should not be confused with the movie of the same name from 1998 (it was a comedy for children).
It's about Dr. Charles Alexander Munn III's mission to save the parrots of South America. To do a search for listings in your area, go to http://tvlistings4.zap2it.com/partners/zipcode.asp?partner_id=Zap2It and do a search.

The show was on our local PBS station last night. I taped it, because I was watching "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". I caught the end of it a few months ago, and have been looking for it since. I did end up finding the children's movie in the Library. When I found it, I was confused because I didn't know it was a different show. I apologize about not posting and letting you guys know about it last night. But I literally found out minutes before it came on.
It is truely a remarkable show. I was not aware of how much was going on in South America regarding Macaws. It was so neat to see the Macaws feeding together (Scarlets and GW). If you get a chance to check it out, do so (if you haven't already). I really want to figure out a way to help Dr. Munn. ~don |
