Ashling - Haha, I adore the noise galahs make too! I have a few clips of them on my computer, along with a few other native birds. My bf and I make songs/music on the computer, we're thinking of doing one with the sounds of the native birds at the beginning. The magpie song mixes really easily into the sound of a keyboard.
Galahs just sound so happy and goofy, like they're always playing. It's really delightful to hear, cheers me right up. Adorable little clowns.

Yeah I think that's why the noise level didnt bother me, their sound wasnt annoying like some birds...eg. the minor birds...grrr....lol.
