Does anyone have 15000 bucks to spare...

I'm in love with a black palm cockatoo named Ebony.
She is so amazingly amazing. I just wish I could have her.

Yeah I wish...I love green wing macaws but they are $13,000 here...hyacinths are even more if sold illegally.

Darn,,,,left it in the other pants pocket! LOL
I could see going to a bank to finance a bird. They would think I'm nuts and walked right up to Central State Hospital. LOL There is a cockatoo I visit weekly at a pet store about 3 miles up the road. I would love to have him. He's my other man as I tell friends. I take him treats and all of the other birds too. He's outta my price range. So I feel ur pain & love....

wow! man.... I think its bad that I want to spend $100 on 3 new cockatiels for breeding and possibly $150 for a pair of green cheek conures (which I have no clue if its a good price for them considering ...and I dont even know how they are for pets/breeders etc..) anyhoo... I'v only seeenpictures of the black tu's so I can only imagine what you're feeling but WOWEEE I cant imagine that price! they ae very rare right... arent they endangered too?

Hey, you CAN finance a bird. Irish financed her Hyacinth!!!

If I had 15K, I'd probably end up spending it on a bird instead of something I actually need, like a downpayment on the house we're trying to by!! Us crazy bird people.

"There is a cockatoo I visit weekly at a pet store about 3 miles up the road."

red192, gotta say I've personally learned not to visit and fall for birds I don't plan on buying. If the pet store finally sells that bird you'll be heartbroken-trust me, the feeling sucks.

15,000....wow! In the case of the Black Palm Too the pet potential is unknown for the most part. Sure any bird can be had for the right price but is it right to have it. After seeing "parrots in the land of oz" I'm not sure. Unless I could give it everything (or close to) to make it happy I wouldn't even think of it. I mean you have to think of the case with so many other cockatoos and how difficult it is to accomodate them. After all, we can all make mistakes but this could be a $15,000 mistake.

Or, you could just get the one advertised for sale on the net and shipped from South Africa for $250.00.
