Question Any suggestions here would be so helpful.!

I own a 2 yr. old sun conure, he was given to me 8 mths. ago. This lady who gave it to me paid 600.00 for him, but she never worked with him to try to get him to eat a better selection of foods he needs. Sooo I have racked my brain trying to get him to eat better, but he just looks at me as if he's saying I must be outta my mind. I try hard honest I do, but he will not eat anyting but dry fruits and nuts and seeds. Now he will eat oatmeal and pancakes, but that's pretty much it. I try tricking him, but he's no dummy. How can I get him to eat better, any suggestions here??????

Hey there,
how about dicing up some fruits and veggies, and then adding them to your conures oatmeal, and or pancakes?

Some other variations of healthy foods you can try are brown rice, whole wheat pasta, bird bread, etc.

Also, do you own any other birds? Try to show your sun conure that the food is edible, by showing your other fid eating the new food. Some birds will try new foods after, seeing you or another fid eating a new food.
