Unhappy BLAH! Gaz left us for "college."

It's been a while since I've been on here... I find it extremely difficult writing about this, but I think I've finally calmed down enough. I consider all of my fids, well, FIDS. They are our children, we definitely are not planning on having any human children, for a million reasons, but we love our fids, and it's a crazy emotional connection that I have to all of them that made it hard for me to hear that conclusion we had come to last weekend.

This last Saturday was painfully bittersweet, the past week has been a complete drain in trying to deal with financial stress- but knowing for a week that we would have to give our baby a new home, temporary anyway, just topped our stress levels tremendously. I wanted to spend every minute with her, take her to the park, get her nails trimmed, get her a new toy... but I was only able to take her to the park once, and spend a little extra time with her than normal.

I miss her so much, it's been really rough emotionally and physically- and I'm praying that it will go away... but I have found myself crying at random times just because I'd think of her cute little face, picture her running in the park, having fun car-rides with her, laughing when she tried to steal our food, watching her sneak from her cage over to where we sat, finding her in the kitchen looking at the fridge, watching her grab her face when she wants her neck rubbed... ahhhhh! I LOVE this girl!

She's with my Aunt right now, hopefully this "terrible-two" phase will go away. She's in a place where she'll have people constantly there, fresh air, and a Milagold Macaw in the cage next to her... oh, and she can scream as loud as she desires. Tyler and I will still visit her as often as possible, being only 45 minutes away (on a good day). We'll bring her toys, treats, spend the day with her, give her baths, and trim her nails... and cuddle the hell out of her.

To make it a bit easier, Tyler's been saying "just think of it as her going off to college, she can be rowdy and we can visit, she can visit us..." So we're keeping that thought in our head. >.<

Gaz was ready for her close-up.

Enjoying the day

Her new roommate! Gus!

Her new home

(My crap sketchy-thingy of her done on the Macaroni Grill's infamous white table cloth)

Have fun at Yale sweetheart!!! We love you tons!

Wow, she is downright gorgeous!! I love her eyes.
I'm so sorry about that, and remember she isn't going to be gone forever.
It still sucks. My deepest sympathies, for you and Gaz.
But at least, if all goes right, you can look forward to a "Welcome Back, Gaz!" party!
Keep us posted, okay?

I probably should have mentioned WHY! OMG, I'm stupid! Ever since we brought the new guys in, she has been extremely jealous and would scream bloody murder whenever a peep would come out of the other guys. Honestly, it's been 2 days- and it's a night and day difference, it's so quiet... well, until Chili starts yapping:)

I'll definitely be throwing a welcome home party for her! I talked to my Aunt this afternoon and she said that she has calmed down since... agh, it was heartbreaking hearing her scream when leaving the driveway. Our little baby!

Thank you for all the support so far, I never thought about the party... and I'll be damned if don't! She deserves a damn parade LOL... thanks for the suggestion!

Maybe her being in a different location will get her posessiveness out for when it comes time for her to come home. Im looking forward tot he updated and eventually hopefully the coming home announcement.

Oh, that makes more sense now that I know why she's leaving.
Hehe. Silly me.

I'm so glad you found a semi-permanent place for her to go until it's all sorted out. You found the perfect solution! Maybe when she comes back, she'll even have missed the other two as well, and maybe accept them? It's a nice idea to think she's going to college :) She looks really happy at your aunts, I'm sure she'll have a great holiday until it's time to come home. I hope you're coping ok.

hehe thanks:) It's weird, I think about her at random times... mainly saying "bah, I miss her." We also have another inside joke that has to do with "The Shining"... and I'll end up saying, "Hey hun, Gaz just shined me and said she loves youuuu."

<<<Nerd. :)

I'm thinking this will help her a bit. It's been hard having insane screams coming out of our place, and we would be so worried and say "shhhh Gaz! Be Careful!" lol but I'm thinking this may let her get it out, and maybe she'll think "hey... my throat hurts!" Everyone is so sweet here, thank you so much for such positive thinking:) Birdboard's peeps are definitely an extended family:)

LOL "Gaz just shined me." That's cute. I'm sure this'll really help her out (and the rest too!) and when she gets back she'll be a more wise and mature girl (isn't that what college is all about??)

That's great you have a place for her to retreat to though I am sure you are missing her! Good luck.
