Just making sure my bird isn't neurotic
Stewie likes to rub his beak along my arm and clothes. At least I think he likes it because he does it a lot. Sometimes he wipes his beak side to side, but mostly forward and backwards.
He's not 1) cleaning his beak off or 2) preening me. It looks a little bit like preening, but not really. It's more like he's licking me the way a dog or cat would. ?? I assume it's a sign of affection; just wanted to double check and see if anyone else's conure does this.

let me tell you one good advice - once this thing starts, change your shirt as soon as you get home from now on

Ashling does something like that- on me and also on the floor when she's playing with toys, or hopping around like a kangaroo. She also smooshes her fluffed up cheek against my hand like a cat does! I can't resist that! Man birdies are cute!

Oh yes, ours does the same thing. Sometimes he'll try to clean off because he has a bit of leftover food hanging on his beak... but he tends to rub himself on us, our arms, our necks, shirts.. he's even started doing it with the computer... which has become a favorite place for him to perch *shakes head*
