Well he was $25 in the paper, but when I arrived with toys/snacks the lady said she'd sell him to me for $20, or $30 with cage. I declined the cage because it was the nastiest little cage I've ever seen. Totally disgusting. The average price for a galah in the paper (Quokka - buy and sell paper) is $50, up to $120 for tame. Breeding pairs' prices vary greatly.

She said he was male due to his eye colour, but I've read that's not a completely accurate way to determine gender... Also, I don''t know if the eye colour will change when he gets older... Seeing as he's still a baby.

And he seems to be doing great so far... Can't wait 'til I can upload more pics!

I am happy for the both of you. Rosies go for about $1500.00 here. They have two babies up at the bird store. They dont last long. Me personlly if I were to ever get a cockatoo it would be a Lesser Sulpher Crested Cockatoo. They are very sweet and cuddly... and a whole lot less noisy. Keep us posted, she looks healthy despite the conditions you found her in.
