why?
I prefer grateless. I also use crocks instead of those silly plastic dishes. Heavy duty ceramic all the way for my babies! The only FID I have on a grate is my lorikeet, and I'm seriously debating taking that one out too. If you clean every day, there isn't that much mess.

Indy's cage came without a grate - when I needed one I called the company that made the cage and explained why I needed one. They didn't have the size I needed but sent me one that was larger then the cage I have. I was able to cut it down to fit. Works great.

Thanks Rach:
I cannot find the manufacuturer name on the cage. We've had the "sleeping cage" for a very long time. I think we will just make something. What I would like is what should the material be. Bogie just goes down there when dawn breaks and we are still asleep. I would like to discourage that. Again, thanks.
