She's with a 3 year old male ringneck(white) dove, she is a tangerine/pearl wild dove. They mate but no eggs though she has been sitting in nest a lot but no eggs. I bred them before but don't remember how old they where when they bred.

Then how old is your female exactly???? And well I am not that familiar with doves, but would those two be different species of doves creating hybridized offspring????

Lightbulb re

I got my tangerine at a petshop and i read a book about breeding doves inorder to get tangerine offspring you half to mate a tangerine with a ringneck or ivory. I have seen them mate!!!!! They get along fine planning to get them another cage soon because the female doesn't seem to like the size cage they are in they are too big for it.

I just have a question, and I hope it doesn't offend you. I really want to know why you are so dead set on breeding your birds? If you have to ask the questions that you've been asking around here, you're obviously NOT ready to breed birds. Like I've said before, leave it up to the experienced ones.

How do you get experience???? If thats what you want to do. Find out all you can from people who know and then go for it. But be ready for some heart break and some disapointments

Thumbs down

Once again u want to breed ???? because we told u that u couldnt breed ure sun conure with a green cheek you decide to breed 2 types of doves ..what kind of person are you to play god..this really fustrates me how some one can say that they have already bread birds but yet still have to ask the most imporatan questions ..that in experienced breeder should know already ..i pity the poor lil babies that u will bring into this world ..its just not fair for them :(

IM sorry if this is very rude but your level of immaturity is really driving me nuts ..may i ask what do u get out of breeding birds do u think its a game ..or is it just to see what types of birds you'll get because u know what right now ure giving me the impression that breeding birds for u tickles your fancy and thats just sick and wrong :icon_evil
