Update with Pics... and a fun question for all!!!

It's been a while since I've been on. I haven't replied to many posts, and I haven't posted any either! I finally got the time to upload pics from my crappy camera phone and am totally excited to share 'em!

I took Gir for a ride around Lake Hodges yesterday, unfortunately I didn't take him out of the car, for I feared that he would either fly away and get lost in a tree, or a hawk might wanna grab his cute butt.

I took pics of our little car ride though!

I also have pics of Chili's breakthrough! He FINALLY let my husband rub his neck! A week before, he let me pick him up with my hand on his back at the same time. Yes, the bird that was so scared to be touched is finally warming up:)

I also included a recent one of Static... I have plenty more, but this thing will only allow me to attach so many, and I'm too lazy right now to go to photobucket lol :)

Last but not least, a photo of all 3, hanging with their papa!


*whew* So! How is everyone doing?!?!?!?!?!?!??

and... does anyone plan on doing something special for their fids when this fun "tax stimulus" goes through??

I thought about another fid with some of our tax money, but after having to pay Federal this past April 15th, we're going to put it toward estimated taxes for this year so we won't have to pay again. I know, no fun!

I bought (before the check arrived) a travel cage for Dave. It's the Avian Adventure Poquiito Avian Hotel. So far I'm letting Dave climb around and investigate it before locking him in it so that when we do travel it will be a familiar place for him. It's a sturdy little cage and it will let him travel with me from time to time so we will both enjoy it.

You're making great progress! lol I just love the name Static for a bird. What kind is he again? I love that species too hehe. Hope your fids and you are all going well.

ahhh! Another cage would be good... whether it's a home or a little travel home:) I'll definitely see if I can look into that! I think I might also try buying a lot of extra toy parts for them and just have fun on my days off building a huge playstand or just more toys!

Static's a Nanday Conure... he makes some of the oddest sounds too... I'm waiting for the day where he'll FINALLY do his insane cricket chirp for the camera:) BTW, I uploaded more videos on my youtube!!! I guess I'm a bit obsessed lol

Nanday's are gorgeous birds, they're so friendly. You birds look so great!

:) Thank you! This little Static has become kinda odd... while Gir has become extremely attached to me, Chili is letting both of us handle him... but Static has become REALLLLLLLY NIPPY! He has broken my skin 4 times, actually 5, he bit my face the other day. He's bit Tyler only a couple of times, but Tyler will put his shoulder down so he can step up from his cage onto him, yet when I do it, he viciously attacks my shirt lol

I still try to interact with him, and he'll let me rub his neck like no other, but he won't try to bite me as much as his papa... he's become super attached. Oh well...
