Almost Weaned! I got a couple Pics!

Our lastest clutch is about weaned...Still waiting on one (the oldest one!)
even though we see him eating Seeds and veggies, (and drinking water)He still crys for food so we are still feeding him.

I took these pics sunday while they were out eating their veggies

Some more are just starting to hatch in the nextboxes too!!
Two Lutinos and a whiteface so far!

I'll show more pics when My wife has time to size em
It takes me too long...

Hi
We tried breeding keets once, They laid eggs and then the Fought (alot)
The male made the hen bleed, so we separated them...that drove them both nuts...and that in turn, drove us nuts....So we took away their nest box and later found them a good home,

Zebra Finch are EASY... They breed like crazy...

Cockatiels are time consuming and very messy (read the thread "10 reasons NOT the buy a Bird)

WOW! That white tiel is absolutely gorgeous! They are all beautiful, you must be very proud! lol @ the oldest taking longest to wean! What a mama's boy!
I had an aviary with pairs of budgies, finches and tiels and only the budgies bred successfully. The finches laid eggs at one point, and the tiels watched the budgies' babies grow. One of my tiels (the male) would poke his head into the budgie nest and say "pretty pretty pretty pretty boooy!" and start singing to them. I'm going to breed him with my lutino when we get an aviary. He'll be a great daddy. I think the babies will turn out grey? Do you know about mutations? What will a cinnamon and a lutino make?

Cinnamon male x Lutino female
Normal males split cinnamon and lutino
Cinnamon females

I'm kind of curious to know if you had any pics of the budgie pair you had before you gave them away...

Cute babies!
