Ive got five aviaries and have never had any luck growing plants in them. Either not enough sun or the birds eat them, generally the latter. Branches and tree/shrubs cuttings get placed in large clumps in plumbers piping, pvc tubes, around the aviary, they like playing and destroying those, then change them for new stuff.

That's awesome! I am so jealous!
Out at TGF, we covered the wood with wire small enough that the bird's can't get to it. It isn't treated though, so that might not work for you. I bet they'll love it! As far as button quail-they're adorable! However, you'd have to have them vet checked and quarentine them before you let them be together, as they could carry avian diseases that could transfer to your little guys! Make sure you place the aviary on something that will keep predators from getting in, or bury wire.

That looks great! As long as you get the wood covered Im sure they'll love it!! That's a big avairy for pet birds, they'll have so much fun! I do the PVC pipe thing too for the plants. Have a closed end on a pvc pipe pour water in and put some branches in, then change them as they need it.
