Oh, I'm sooo happy!

A First for Rico!!!! I am so happy!! I've had him for almost 4 months, and I handle him every day. He calls me but then runs away when I come near, but then he steps up without a problem. He never liked me giving scritches, and when I turn him over in my hand, he lays there and just tolerates it, you can tell he can't wait to get up. He never has come to me on his own and tried to get my attention, like my tiel does. I figured he'd just be a finger-tame aloof little guy, but tonight whooopeee!!!! I was laying on the couch watching tv, he was walking on the back of the couch, and I was talking to him, and when I turned to watch the tv, I felt something on my neck. The little guy climbed down the cushion and buried himself under my neck, between me and the pillow! I couldn't believe it was really him, and I turned my head slowly and saw red tailfeathers sticking up and I was absolutely floored!!! Then I put my hand there and lightly stroked his little head, and he just stayed there! Then he went back up to the back of the couch, and came down again and snuggled under my neck!! It was such a great feeling!! I always read about how snuggly your birds are, and never thought mine would ever be that way, but lookie-here I think I have a snuggle-bunny!!!

I'm so glad this board is here...If I tell any of my friends how excited I am they will definitely NOT understand!! I feel so proud lol!
