He's so cute! Wish my birds would eat their veggies like that, lol.

How do you get your baby to eat that? My Senegal wants breakfast too... but he only likes is starches and fruits (like his mama..... :-) ). He usually looks at my vegetables and turns up his nose, except for corn, which is also starchy!

well the key is to show your birdie how much you are enjoying those yummy veggies. for a new food, i eat it in front of him and make sure he can see i am enjoying it, usually he'll want to give it a try after that. most of the time that will get him to eat it from then on, however; sometimes he really just don't like it...
what other starchy food do you give your birdie? ~Nate

haha I had just made up a fruit/ veggie mix when I read that! Ash is munching on some apple sticks right now, pinning her eyes and making her mmmmmm noise (sounds like gurgling). I offered some to Peanut, but he just smiled his cockatiel smile, grinded his beak and left it alone. I won't even try with Indi- she'll just hiss at me! Wait a second... Peanuts just started eating some brolloli and ooh Indi flew to my shoulder (first time ever!) to share!!! :o ...And Ashling is watching enviously from her cage and saying hello to get my attention... she dropped her broccoli ages ago and left it on the floor!
btw- Is capsicum and celery good for birds?
