The Snow Geese

:eusa_clap The Snow Geese are here. I saw a small flock of them yesterday. Soon there will be thousands of them. It is my most favorite time of year. A begining of spring. They migrate through here every year. It is an awesome sound to be underneath a large flock. They are so beautiful. The canadians have been here for a few weeks now. But the arival of the snow geese always brings me joy. If you have ever seen them you'll know what I mean. They turn from black to a brilliant white and then back to black as they are flying over head. Theres lots of feed so they fly low. It's great. I love it. My wild ducks should be coming home soon now too. They come back every year and have babies. Plus I have a large blue haron who always comes home, and with the arival of 24 new baby chickens. ITS GOT TO BE SPRING. Finally..............

snow geese in Missouri

Well I don't know if I would guess spring is here or not. The snow geese have been here in Missouri for over a month now. As we go down the highway we can see geese completely covering fields. The first time we saw them this year at a distance it looked like several fields were covered snow and no snow anywhere else. This of course wasn't the case the snow geese were here!! We saw several conservation agents keeping watch on a field of snow geese while we were on our way to Springfield last week and several other cars had pulled off the road just to see them. It seems like at least around here many farmers are happy to see them and plant winter wheat and such just to give them a place to feast. Other farmers become very unhappy to have their fields trampled and eaten by flocks of geese. Either way they are very beautiful to see.

The Canadians have been here in Florida for months now and our spring is marked by there flight home. Oh wait you are talking geese aren't you.

I would love to see snow geese. They sound magnificent!

I live here in Bridgeville, Delaware. The snow geese are here as well :eusa_clap . They are sooo pretty, there must be hundreds of them. They are down the rd. from my house, I pass them in the morning. I love to see geese, ducks, swans, birds.etc. My dream is to build a special place in my yard for all the birds, a pond for turtles and fish, although many things do turn up in my above ground pool. :eusa_naug But anyway, I love to make god creatures happy(I can't do the spiders I'm sorry) :eusa_naug
