Rescue a U2?

I currently have a CAG and U2. They aren't really buddies, but they tolerate each other, though the U2 does pick on the CAG, chase him off the tree stand. Also the U2 seems to be coming into sexuality maturity. He's okay with me, but tries to breed with other women (lady who boards & my mom) and then becomes aggressive with them and screams A LOT more than at home. He's not really anymore aggressive to my CAG though...so what's my point?

I have considered adopting another 'too, a male about 7 years old. Seeing as mine isn't exactly "well-behaved", I know how 'toos can get. Plus I've experienced 'toos at rescues. But I'm nervous about bringing in another U2, same sex, same age, as my boy who's maturing. I still need to see if they even would get along with each, but I'm debating on whether or not this would even be a good move.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I say if you have the room and time do it. Just dont put them togetehr right away, keep a eye and distance for a while until they used to eachother you know? Theres a lot of cockatoos needing a home out there and if u can supply one i sau definatly go for it!

I have the room and the time, though my schedule is changing. As I brought up in another thread, I don't have the space though to do a quarantine and I don't want to risk bringing anything into my "flock". I've been trying to figure out how to quarantine.

But before that, my concern is how my sexually maturing U2 might take to another male his same age. How could I introduce them to see if it would even work if I can't quarantine him?

Anyone have any experiences with adding another male U2 to your flock?
