Cool I think this bird loves me

Normally I am not a "bird person". I am a dog person through and through, but this little guy is really like no other bird. Im starting to think its more him than it is a Caique trait.
Because his cage has a pull down balcony, during the day when Im home I leave it open so he can walk around and explore the outside of his cage.
Well he's grown accustom to once and a while climbing down the bars of his cage, then sliding down the cage's legs to the floor then walking ACROSS the house, past all these rooms until he gets to my area of the house. He then figures out which room I am in specifically and just walks right on it, sneaking up on my while I am making the bed as if to say- Hey! Here I am, play with me!

Ironically he only does this to me.

I would have to say he does care for you. Unless he is looking for you to bite.

Although we only have tiels (6) we were strictly dog people until 5 years ago when I received my first fid. Since then we have added 5 more and my wife told me about a month ago, once Sammy (cocker spaniel) is gone there will be no more dogs. I have to agree even though I still enjoy Sammy running around. It sounds like you have been hooked as well. The fids are so much fun and entertaining.
Have a great Day..

Welcome to the world of birds!! Haha. My boyfriend is a dog person and when I told him I was getting a bird he was like "why? it's just a bird." No I didn't get angry because I knew he would change his mind. Now he really likes my girls. He laughs at the things matches does (mainly when she trips over, she's so clumsy) and when beetle runs up and down and squeaks and jumps. If you spend the time with them, they really do grow on you.
