Powder Coating? Is it really safe . . .
Or should I pony up and spring for the stainless steel. I understand that there are gradations of powder-coated cages and manufacturers, but I'm a little concerned that my sun and green cheeks (both love to chew on the cage) might become ill if exposed to the powder coating itself or whatever lies beneath. There are certainly some great powder-coated cages out there and they are certainly more reasonable than the $850-1300 for a stainless cage. I will gladly get my babies a stainless steel cage if enough of you believe that there is a safety issue with powder coating. If not, which powder coated cages do you suggest.
One more question: how/where can I buy avicine? Thanks, J |
