Hi all,

I got the DNA results back on Peanut my Galah. Peanut is a boy. I guess I will have to start calling him a good boy instead of a good girl. I wouldn't want him to develop a complex.

Did you know that you can sex cockatoo's by their eyes? when they are juveniles they have black eyes though. When adults the female developes a light coloured ring around the outside of the eye (not the skin, but the eye). I have a female galah, as you can see by her eyes, they look orange.
